Agreement and application license

These terms govern your use of Lazely ("the app"), provided by the developer identified on its App Store listing. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the service.

The app is licensed, not sold. Unless a custom license is supplied with your App Store purchase, the Apple Standard End User License Agreement governs your license. These service terms supplement that license and do not replace it or restrict any mandatory consumer rights.

Description of service

Lazely helps you manage screen time through personal goals, focus sessions, app shields and AI guardian conversations. App protection requires Apple's Screen Time permission and your selection of apps. AI conversations, including the onboarding demo, require an internet connection and depend on the availability of our backend and Google Gemini.

The guardians offer different interactions: one may refuse an unlock; the other helps you reflect while leaving the final choice to you. Other protection modes are available in settings. Unlocks, quick passes and AI conversations are subject to the limits shown or explained in the app. A subscription does not provide unlimited AI usage.

Subscriptions, trials and cancellation

• Lazely v2 requires an active subscription or trial for access beyond onboarding and its limited demo. There is no permanent free tier.
• Monthly and annual auto-renewing plans are offered through the Apple App Store. Your local price, billing period and any introductory offer are displayed before you confirm a purchase.
• A three-day free trial may be offered to eligible users on qualifying plans. Eligibility and the offer displayed by the App Store apply; a trial is not guaranteed for every user or plan.
• Unless canceled, a trial converts to the subscription shown at purchase, and subscriptions renew automatically for their billing period. To avoid renewal, cancel at least 24 hours before the current period or trial ends. Apple may charge for renewal within the final 24 hours of the current period.
• You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your device's Settings > Apple Account > Subscriptions. Deleting Lazely does not cancel your subscription.
• Existing subscribers retain access while their subscription entitlement remains active. You can use Restore Purchases with the Apple Account used for purchase.
• Refund requests are handled through Apple, subject to its process and your statutory rights.

AI conversations

Guardian replies are generated by AI, not a human coach. They can be inaccurate, inappropriate or inconsistent despite safety checks. Lazely is a digital-habits tool, not a medical service, therapist or emergency service, and its replies are not medical advice.

Google's Gemini API terms restrict use in services directed towards or likely to be accessed by people under 18. Lazely's AI guardian feature is intended for adults. See the provider's terms.

We may limit or temporarily suspend AI requests to address abuse, security issues or outages. If an AI request fails, an app may remain blocked rather than receive an unlock. This does not remove your statutory rights concerning a paid service.

Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains which information stays on your device, what is processed for AI conversations and subscriptions, and how analytics and technical records are used. Acceptance of these service terms does not replace any separate permission required by applicable law or platform rules.

Acceptable use

Use Lazely for lawful, personal screen time management. You must not:

• Monitor or restrict another person's device without their authorization.
• Abuse the AI service, submit unlawful content, or attempt to bypass security, safety checks or usage limits.
• Reverse engineer or redistribute the app except where permitted by applicable law, the application license or an open-source component's license.

Intellectual property

Lazely's software, design and branding belong to their respective rights holders. You retain any rights you have in content you submit. Third-party components remain subject to their own licenses. AI-generated replies may not be unique; we do not promise exclusive rights in them.

Availability and consumer rights

We do not promise a particular reduction in screen time or uninterrupted operation. Screen Time protection depends on iOS, permissions and device settings, and may not work in every circumstance. Lazely is not a safety-critical access-control system.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits mandatory rights or remedies, including applicable legal guarantees for digital content and services, or liability that cannot legally be excluded. Any permitted limitations under the applicable application license remain subject to those rights.

Changes to the service or terms

We may update the service and these terms. Revised terms will show an updated date, and we will provide notice and obtain agreement where required by law. Changes do not retrospectively remove rights you have already acquired. Subscription changes remain subject to Apple's applicable procedures and consumer law.

Governing law

These service terms are governed by French law, without depriving consumers of mandatory protections or rights to bring proceedings available under the law of their country of residence.
